Max Planck Innovation currently oversees about 1,200 inventions and has shareholdings in 16 companies. Each year, additional 140 projects are taken on. Since 1979 we have managed about 3,900 inventions, have closed more than 2,400 license agreements and, since 1990, coached around 130 spin-offs. The total proceeds for inventors, the Max Planck Institutes and the Max Planck Society currently amounts more than €400m.

This track record places Max Planck Innovation in the world's ‘premier league’ of technology transfer institutions.
