Max Planck Innovation currently oversees more than 1,140 inventions and has shareholdings in 14 companies. Each year, additional 150 projects are taken on. Since 1979 we have managed about 3,200 inventions, have closed more than 1,900 license agreements and, since 1990, coached around 90 spin-offs. The total proceeds for inventors, the Max Planck Institutes and the Max Planck Society currently amounts to about €260m.
This track record places Max Planck Innovation in the world's ‘premier league’ of technology transfer institutions.
